These kits teach kids to actually laminate their own skateboard decks out of wood, glue, and use atmospheric pressure in our unique Thin Air Press (TAP). It's easy to do and is also suitable for ages 10 years old and up (some parental guidance is suggested for the younger kids). Skateboard kits make great gifts for teens, and can be used as a science fair project, home school resource, wood working or art and craft project.
Kits include 7 kayers of pre-cut Hardwood Canadian Maple, specially formulated (non-toxic) skateboard glue and TAP components, which consist of foam mold, vinyl vacuum bag andf a hand pump. Easy-to-follow illustrated instructions are included. See the demo here.
Kits are available in 2 shapes, a classic street deck and a sweet pintail longboard. Graphics are available, as well as blank kits so that kids can apply their own creative design to the bottom layer.
Refill kits of veneer and glue are also available, as these kits are designed to be used over and over again, to make many boards.
